Trainer Bio:

Kris was born and raised in Alaska. He has been active in various athletic programs in Alaska which helped him find his passion for hard work and character development at an early age. Kris is currently the Director of Alaska’s High School Bodybuilding program. He has competed himself half-a-dozen times, winning overall titles for each competition entered. At the age of 18, he was ranked a ‘top five junior bodybuilder’ by “”

He is also a former division one athlete out of Las Vegas and was part of a national championship winning team. He returned to Alaska in 2011 and began to mentor and coach community members in health through exercise. He graduated summa cum laude with both a Baccalaureate of Science in Community Health and in Exercise Science, and also holds a Master of Public Health.

Kris has been tasked with designing creative solutions to promote an active lifestyle. He has served as the spokesperson on physical activity promotion with the Alaska Department of Health & Social Services. He is an instructor for the University of Alaska. His in-depth knowledge of community engagement and non-communicable disease prevention has been his focus in research and lectures to undergraduate and graduate students of health and exercise science.

Kris has worked in remote areas and rural communities in Alaska. He helps solve their complex issues in order to better the health of underserved populations.

Get Invested

Step by step, I want to show you how to change your life. I have to ask you something first. Do you really want it? Just because you want it isn't enough. In order to put in the effort required to GET it, you have to NEED it. If you really want something, you'll find a way.

Take Action

Without action, there will never be a reaction. We wish, and hope for success but rarely take the risks and put the effort into what is required for success. It takes a few changes in lifestyle, and just enough motivation to do it one day at a time.

Keep Out Bad Habits

You can build a house anywhere but if there are termites in the foundation, the house won't last very long. You have to root out the self-defeating, counterproductive behaviors you've assembled over your lifetime. It's out with the old, and in with the new.

Reward Yourself

Every victory counts for something. Count your victories continuously. Even the small, minuscule ones. Every journey begins with one step, and without each step, the journey would never reach an end. Reward and praise yourself for your continual effort. A good present will lead to a good future.

Kris is an amazing personal trainer. I can't say enough good about him. He works with several people at my office and we all range in our abilities. Kris has been able to tailor workouts for each of our needs. For instance, with me, I had a nerve entrapment in my left shoulder that had caused my rhomboid to waste away. Kris has focused on that area for me and has been able to get the muscle working again and strengthen it such that my shoulder blades no longer wing away from back and I have a lot less pain. One of my other coworkers who works out with him has cardio and flexibility as their goals, so they spend their time working on that. Point being that Kris has the range to work out with someone who is recovering from an injury and isn't in shape to someone who is a body builder or other skilled athlete. He is patient, dependable and fun to be around. You won't be sorry if you start working with him.

Before & After


Jacob entered into BPI’s Best Self 6 Week Challenge. He placed 9th out of +40K participants, solidifying his case of pushing his body to the maximum. Jacob entered another 6 week challenge sponsored by Muscle Pharm a few months later. He experienced a similar transformation and even higher placing on his way to the craziest changes in the World.

Jason came to Signature Methods after already losing a substantial amount of body weight. His goal was to flip from what could be considered obesity to the leanest standard out there – “stage” ready. He’s on his journey still, but his hard work and progress deserves recognition.

Sean began his journey with Signature Methods after ending his collegiate football career. Years of training for sports and using excessive weight gain to compete in college made his transition particularly unique. However, he has made amazing changes and has done so entirely through online training.

Dustin spent almost a year changing his whole lifestyle in order to make a brilliant change in his physique. The most important point is that his changes will stick because he put the time in to build everlasting healthy habits.

Kiani had been through countless sessions with other trainers. By the time she met with Signature Methods, she didn’t know what to believe! Getting her squared away and on the right track was all it took for her. She’s reliable and naturally motivated and this isn’t even the finish line for her!

Lee had always wanted to add muscle to his 6’5″ frame but had a tough time adding muscle and losing fat. Lee is a former division 1, conference champion swimmer that was used to circuit training and endurance based training. With six months of training, he added an ideal amount of muscle and lost all the fat necessary to meet his ideal self. Congrats Lee!

Isabelle, AKA “Izzy”, was a hard-working student who had been an athlete her whole life. Making the transition into bodybuilding with the help of Signature Methods not only inspired her to stay healthy, but she inspired her entire school! Izzy is now a division one rower and an impactful student in the classroom and in the gym.

Kylie came with a simple goal. She wanted to fit into a dress that she adored, and only had a couple of weeks before the event she wanted to wear it to. Not only did she fit into the dress after losing twenty pounds, she continued to challenge herself by competing in a triathlon and continuing her fitness journey.

Stewart sought the advice of Signature Methods years before he made it onto the stage. A simple consultation one late evening drove Stewart on a new path of discipline and passion. With the guidance of Signature Methods again, several years later, Stewart has found his passion for competing and finally stepped on stage!

Claire approached personal training with Signature Methods to regain strength. Claire had been involved in an accident which had damaged the scapular nerve and left her with chronic pain and limited muscle activation in the shoulder. Using corrective exercises, Claire was able to regain muscle activation and strength. Retraining her movement patterns reduced her chronic pain, and today she remains pain free and healthy!
